Chettinad Palace

This piece of majestic architectural landmark is located right in the centre of the town. Built in 1912, the palace has been adorned with decorative and superfluities from across the world. Since it was made in the early twentieth century the structure and the architecture is heavily influenced by European style. The palace was the brain child of Dr. Annamalai Chettiyar, the man who founded Indian Bank and Annamalai University. The tour of the place is one of the best activities to undertake here.

Pillayarpatti Rock Temple

The temple is located in Pillayarpatti and is dedicated to Lord Ganesha, the Elephant God. This rock-cut temple is a living example of Pandyan architecture. What is awesome about the place is the detailed work of art, beautifully decorated shrines and the enchanting backdrop.

Athmanathaswamy Temple
